Some of Baru Basenjis

Baru's Jumoke Cool Whip (16k image) Bred by George Woodard & Bryan Gregory.
"Cool Whip" is the newest addition. She will start showing spring of '98.

Ch. Anasazi Chatelaine Du'Sienji, (24k image) Bred by Sheila H. Smith and Sheila Ann Frost.
"Saintly" has whelped 10 beautiful and well tempered puppies in two litters. She has four champions including nationally ranked Ch Jumoke's moonshiner. Both Bryan (of Jumoke) and I consider her our breeding foundation and are making use of the excellent stock she produced. Saintly is now 10 years old and is retired from breeding. She won a first place in the Veteran Sweeps at the National fast fall. She is the ultimate lap dog and likes nothing more than to curl up next to me on the couch. Hear Saintly ask for her dinner! Ch. Baru Midnight Special, SC (34k image) "Minnie" is a sleek tricolor bitch that turns judges heads in the show ring. She started out as quite a fiesty handful -very independent and always testing my authority, but she has mellowed with age and is now almost a lap dog. Here she is (17k image) at the age of five receiving the brood bitch 1st place award at the Evergreen Basenji Club specialty under judge Gloria Reese (She was second to her mother, Saintly). At the age of six, she made the final cut at the Basenji National last fall in a class of 70 specials. She passes her razor-sharp demarcation on to her kids (21k image). See Minnie as a newborn (51k image).

Ch. Jumoke's Red Vixen of Baru, SC (29k image) Bred by Bryan Gregory, Jumoke Basenjis, "Vixen" is full sister to Shiner (shown below) and is assuming the role of brood bitch where Saintly left off. She should do well in perpetuating the line we so much admire. She is a proficient lure courser. (10k image) Vixen had her first litter in 1995 at four years of age, producing one puppy, sired by Ch. Jumokes Arazi Re. Wanda (26k image) puppy, registered as Baru Wandavakind of Jumoke and is looking forward to her show debut this spring.

Ch. Baru South'n Belle of Jumoke (52k image) "Belle" is owned by Bob and Lois Breightengress, and Bryan Gregory.

Am. Can. Ch. Jumoke's Moke Ahi, (31k image) Bred by Bryan Gregory, Jumoke Basenjis, "Moke", (pronounced moe-kee), has a great temperament, and has the loudest voice I have heard in a basenji. He has a very short, uniform coat. He is the sire of five kids out of Saintly (below), and two Champions. Hear Moke ask for his dinner! (31k wav file).

Ch. Jumoke's Moonshiner (32k image) Bred and co-owned by Bryan Gregory, Jumoke Basenjis, Shiner is a Saintly kid sired by Ch Jen-nels Kris Kringle. Shiner Has been a nationally ranked basenji for the last 3 years. He is of correct size, which makes his success all the more meaningful. He possesses an exquisite headstyle and a graceful sidegate. He has an extremely deep red coat which we believe is genetically pure-for-red. Look for Shiner pups in the show ring soon.Visit Shiner's page. (2k text, 97k w/images).
